I came across the following YouTube today. Apple has quietly released a new version of Remote Apple for iPhone or iPod Touch. It extends the functionality to control the Apple TV on top of iTunes.

If you are using Remote App to control your Apple TV, you can now enjoy the multi-touch feature to scroll the songs or movies on your Apple TV. This definitely add a new dimension of “Cool” feature compared to the old remote that use button to scroll up or down.

As I open up Cydia today, I finally found the Cydia Store… They are 2 Apps selling inside now, Cyntact and Voicemail Forwarder.

I am looking forward to see more apps on Cydua Store.

It is a Tamaguchi like of electronic pet on iPhone called Super Poke. Pretty nice small app for a stupid boring guy like me to kill a bit time on MRT.

I may occasionally glance through other paid section on the iTunes store, just to check out what is available out there. But if I tell you, you can sometimes get Free paid app on your iPhone, would you like that?

Sometimes, some developers or software companies may run some promotion during launching of new iPhone application. They either sell it at a discount or some even give it away for FREE. Giving away free also help to increase the download count of the app so that it can appear on the popular or hot list. That will definitely help to increase the visibility of the software.

So, I have seen a few apps that they gave it away for totally FREE during the 1st 2 weeks of launch. So, you must keep your eye wide open while you are searching on the iTunes app store. You will be able to pick up some good quality paid app and load them into your iPhone for FREE.

I have loaded a few, some voice recorder softwares, and the most expensive app that I had for free is Air Sharing. It is an application that transform your iPhone to be a flash or portable drive that you can store your files. It is selling at USD6.99 now.

Google Earth Released Right After Android

Google eath was one of the exciting application featured on Android while Google released the 1st G-phone with T-mobile last week. Best still, the application allow the street view… wow, that is amazing and find a location will become easier in future that I can familiarize myself on the Google Earth first before heading to the location.

Apparently, Google is capitalizing on all available opportunity to dominate the mobile world, therefore, it is not surprising Google built an app for iPhone, as iPhone has finally surpassed blackberry in unit sales.

Shake Your iPhone & Experience Walking on Street on iPhone

After reading the Google Earth application, I can’t wait to load it on my iPhone. One interesting and exciting you can experience only on iPhone is motion detection feature on iPhone. You can simply shake or tilt your iPhone and you can maneuver easily on the Google Earth without touching the phone. This makes use of the accelerometer in the iPhone to achieve this exciting handheld experience. Exciting, isn’t it?

Cool invention from both Google and Apple, I am waiting for it to be available in Singapore App store.

My iPhone 3G

After getting the Apple iPhone 3G for about a month, I have been searching for iPhone App on the iTunes store or on the internet to beef up the capability of my iPhone.

Apple has included some app as the basic function in the iPhone. They are Stocks, Weather, Maps, YouTubes, Safari Web Browser and Mail.

Among the built in App, I will rate Safari and Mail app as the best built in apps that I like most.

Best iPhone Built in App – Safari & Mail

The mail set up is extremely easy and it allows me to link to my Gmail and Yahoo Mail without any difficulty. I simply need to enter my username and password, and that’s it. I will have access to my mail on the iPhone. Reading and replying email become so easy now even if I am on the move.

Safari allow me to quick access to check update on news. I simply do not need to power on and boot up my PC to surf the net now. Though the screen seem small but it does offer me a great convenient compared to spending minutes to boot up and power down the PC.

Free Bloomberg News on the Go

Besides Safari & Mail, Bloomberg News is the next app that I like best too. Simply touch the app and I can have the latest news update appearing on my iPhone. There are many news categories you can select to fit your interest. You can also have access to the latest stock market indices and commodity prices as well. Cool app, plus, it is Free, you will like Bloomberg News.

Facebook iPhone App is the coolest

I have just started playing on Facebook on long ago. Facebook also have a cool iPhone app to give you quick access to your Facebook, check out what’s the latest update among your friends, to update your own latest activites or even chat with Facebook members. You can do this with easy in the living room, on your bed or even while you are having a hot coffee at a wireless hotspot.

WordPress iPhone App is Simply Amazing

Finally, I also like the wordpress app too. It gives me quick and instant access to my wordpress blog. I can post new articles or I can also edit my old posts on the iPhone now. Plus, as my chinese HanYu PinYin input is very slow, writing chinese give me an easy alternative on the iPhone, I can also use iPhone to write some chinese post now.

Why do I say that?

Apple bleed the technology so well that you can play anytime anywhere and post your event immediately on your blog. For example, you are travelling and you took some photos with your iPhone, then you can immediately upload the photo to your blog and write your journal down.

Great toy that breaks the boundary … That’s Apple iPhone, so cool.
